Cobb Tuning AP Firmware updates

Postby Karter Performance » Wed Oct 22, 2014 8:06 am

Morning all

So being a dealer and pro Tuner for Cobb we have decided we need to keep all you Cobb users up to date with the latest updates for the Accessport. What better way than to post it here.
Here you will find the latest map release notes as well as due dates for the firmware updates before they have been released to the public. ;)

We will keep updating this thread as soon as we can.

Last update was released on the 30th of September 2014 and contained the following update
• Focus ST (2013 & 2014 ADM/EDM/USDM)
o V300 Maps included in Firmware. (Map slot 1=performance/ Map slot 2=economy mode)
o Added rolling map switch, hot swappable LC Mode (Soft cut @ 4000rpm), and increased idle to 900rpm on all maps to aid in anti-stall issues.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Already updated the new maps.

The stage 1 v312 - 95 ron map seems fine.

There was some problems reported about ECU "BRICK" but I uninstalled the AP, did the update & then re-install it. Worked like a charm.

I just dont understand the how to activate the LC @ 4000rpm.

Nooooo I dont want to launch @4000rpm. Just said I cant get it activated as that is what the map said.

I tested the 2500rpm LC and still had wheelspin. Maybe Cobb should reduce the torque demand in 1st.

Get a custom tune :) Then you can have all the torque limiters you want together with some more power :P

So I got my Cobb AP V3 (Thanks to German) - I didn't want to start a new thread -as it had something to do with the Cobb AP Firmware

Updated the firmware then it installed without issues.

It "unlocked" some things on the Focus ST 1 such as

1. Red Lights by the pedals - Came on after sunset, when the lights is on

2. Two red Strips on the Roof

3. Tiny LED strip by the Door handles

any1 notice some other things? when installing a Cobb AP?
