spraying rims is always a risk when you change tyres or get a nic or snag...

Paint will chip off then you back to square one...

but if money is no problem for you then go for it

Not Sure your calculations are right Hitman.. Was that for one wheel? or 4?

http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/product-NEW- ... ch_723.jsp

USD - 335.87 Per Wheel Ex Shipping.
Rand - 5 259.00 (ROE Yesterdays 15.659)

4 x 335.87 USD = 1343.48
4 x 5 259.00 = 21 036.00

If EUR1 is supplied by puma speed, Duties will be 15%.20% without General Auto Parts. 8708
Duties R 3155.70
Vat R3681.58

As Per My Calculations
ZAR 27 873.28 Ex Shipping/Clearing/Handling

So in other words blimming expensive to bring in right now even with a EUR1 certificate then still pay Customs , still pay local clearing agent and their charges which will include the shipping costs customs documentation plus depot charges whether air or sea plus storage should shipment be stopped by customs for inspection , delivery charges .......ffs  So this deal on this thread is a steal.

Sons of biatches , I know of a certain bike company many years ago used to break up brand new motor bikes before shipping in the States and bring them in as "parts" to avoid the heavy S.A customs duty prices on fully built crated bikes. Probably this also contributed to SARS clamping down.

Correct Bud..
In Shipping Terms, the SKD will be used.
Semi Knock Down Units..
Bring in a new supra. Body and parts in one container, and Chassis in the 2nd container.. Exempt from half the duties.
Theres always ways and means.
