Rockford vs Alpine vs Kicker

Postby bytegp » Sat Jan 31, 2015 7:54 pm

hi all,

So I met with PNP and Jules today to have a look at the installation of my new head unit and the sound upgrade.

Price wise it's pretty even so it's actually really about the sound going in.

It's not the world most expensive setup but it's also not the cheapest.

Both guys offered a 12" sub, front spliters and 4 channel amp.

The only difference is brands.

Full Rockford setup or full Alpine setup, mid range stuff, what do you guys think?

Adding a spanner to the works, I could potential also get a full Kicker setup as well.

What is best in your opinion and why?

I've always been a massive Kicker fan above those other two. Alpine is great but to me doesn't stand out enough and rockford is in every **** thats. Don't see many kicker cars.

They are all amazing manufacturers. Choice comes down to your preferences.
I'm running a Rockford set up in my car. Love it

They are all good brands.
Rockford is loved by the masses, if you ever sell your setup later, Rockford will probably be the easiest sale.

I have full Alpine system in my Meg, been in there for 3 years and has never missed a beat. I have heard Rockford cars as well and its a great system, but that was top off the range stuff. My alpine system is nice and clear and that at whatever volume I chose to play.

Maybe have a look at Focal, Hertz and JL Audio, all great quality makes.

Like I said
You are welcome to take a listen
Advise I can give is, do your homework, RF and Alpine are two different setups
Listen to both before you decide
Here is a pic of what I did

Do you have a roof rack for the luggage?
Now, I admit that there are two distinguishing features that you can use to tell apart the Audi sedans. One is LEDs. The A4 has roughly seven, while the A8 could guide damaged ships to the mainland.

Ok,

So here's what I have done:

Car is with Jules to install new head unit and Rainbow Dream Line C6.2 Splits.

Next phase will include the Alpine Type R 12" and the Alpine PDX F4 amp or RF R400-4D.

Thanks for all the info.
