Help with wheel sizes

Postby gerrieST » Thu Dec 10, 2015 6:32 pm

Hi guys. I need abit of help please. I am putting 20mm spacers in the front and 25mm at the back. The rims I am looking at is 18" 5x112 with a off set of 42 and is 9j's. Will they fit on my car without catching and scraping when you turn? Also keep in mind that my car have a 35mm drop.

Your pcd is 5x108, are you resizing the rims or changing your hubs? Cos 5x112 rims will not fit.

Yes they should work. Effective width and offset will be 9j ET22. Depends how low you are, how much camber you run and what tyres you run.

Yes will be stretched but not too hectic, just check how much the rim will stick out of the side arch, if it sticks out to far you will have rubbing but with the stretched tires it should be fine.

I'd recommend you change from a 45 profile to a 40 profile. 225 will be fine if you don't want much stretch, if you do want stretch to ensure you won't rub then change to some 215/40/18's.

You can stretch 45mm side no problem, just 40 looks better.

+1 and the comfort difference isn't much. Once you go to 35 profile that's when it gets hard. 40 is the best of both.
