I had my car at Eagle Corner a couple of weeks ago to have them fix the front bumper that started peeling after they had it resprayed and to sort something out with the exhaust.

When I got my car back it was scratched on the driver's side rear fender and I noticed the aircon wasn't working anymore. I also noticed they did +-60km with the car. Probably driving it to the panelbeater and back. I phoned Belinda at Eagle who assured me they'd sort it out and made a booking for my car. The time came for me to take my car back but I got a call saying they don't have any courtesy vehicles available, I should bring it back that Thursday. Well, I drove all the way to Eagle that Thursday and to my disbelief I was told that they didn't know I was coming, no one knew who phoned me(fermale voice) and they didn't have a car for me. I should come back the next Thursday.

So before the next Thursday I get another call telling me they're still waiting for parts, I should come back the following Monday. Fine. That was yesterday and the car was booked in to fix the aircon, scratches and exhaust shield.

So today I get a call from the service adviser telling me it's going to cost R2500 to fix the aircon as there's a hole in the condenser and they need to replace the seals and re-gas it! I spoke to the technician who confirmed.

Shortly after this I got a call from Richard, the service manager telling me that I need to pay the R2500 as it's not they're problem if a stone hit the condensor. Now I tried explaining to him that the aircon WAS working when I gave the car to Eagle Corner and it WASN'T working anymore when I got it back. Obviously something happened in the 60km they've driven with my car.

Now this looks to me like Eagle Corner is trying to make me pay for something they've broken. I took my car in to have something fixed which they didn't do properly the first time and got it back with 2 things broken and they want me to pay for it!

I've sent this link to Eagle Corner and Ford Customer care, lets hope they're willing to accept responsibility and not chase yet another Ford customer away.

Next step is Beeld, Rapport, Sunday Times, etc. I've had enough. I'll send my story to every single publication out there if that's what it takes.

If they really cared about the customer they would repair the aircon, in stead of trying to worm their way out of it

My thoughts exactly! They're not helping the brand at all.

The sad part is that these clowns do not realize the consequences of their actions. Unfortunately, poor service like this results in an "unwilling" dislike to the product which in my eyes has always been great. After purchasing my Focus ST I received many positive remarks and compliments, many of which were aimed at how Ford has managed to get this one right. Sadly, some of the individuals that work for this BRILLIANT Company, is a bunch of clowns and through ignorance, they allow the product to be destroyed due to the fact that they do not give a damn about their customer!

EXACTLY!!

Don't get me wrong, I love this car it's just the service from Eagle Corner that's absolutely pathetic to say the least.

They once suggested I trade the car on a new Focus. As if I'd buy another car from them after all this.

Well, my uncle bought a Porsche Carrera a while back secondhand from a very reputable Johannesburg Porsche dealer and realised a year later they'd screwed him out of R50,000.00 because they told him it was 1992 model when it was in fact a 1988 model, which he found out by chance from the previous owner....... So you'll get bad service and corrupt dealers everywhere, whether you drive a premium brand or not. Since then he only buys new cars, his most recent a 2006 Porsche Carrera S drop top, which I wouldn't want to drive on any road, it's got the stiffest suspension imaginable. A good track car, but that's about it, not made for South African roads :?
