Can you run "Race" with mods?
Hi There,
According to this website:
http://www.bulletperformanceracing.com. ... s-XR5.html
The race tune (not race+) is fine for stage 2 cars. Any comments? Would like to give it a go before I purchase more maps on the store.

Re: Can you run "Race" with mods?
Don't have modX yet, just want to test a few maps before I buy modX.
Maps I have are:
DSCI, Perf, Perf+, Race, Race+, StreetRacer and TrackRacer.
Although the only map that runs well out of these that I have tested is Perf+, TR only boosts 0.8bar for some reason with a TWGDC of 99%.
Perf+ runs perfect, from AFR to TWGDC fuel trim etc. Thats why I wan't to test other maps.

Re: Can you run "Race" with mods?
Have you tried DSCI as yet?
Race
As it says. Your car will feel more like a race car, with faster response, more boost, but still with good economy in the cruise.
Race +
Taking "Race" further. This tune gives rapid boost and our signature shove in the back as your car comes on boost.
Performance
A great starting tune balancing power and economy for unmodified and lightly modified cars.
Performance +
Giving more boost to "Performance" for unmodified and modified cars alike.
DSci
"Race Plus" with more progressive boost building to a higher peak - works on a wide range of cars from unmodified to some heavily modified.
Mod A
Designed for highly modified cars, esential if you have a 3 inch downpipe.
Mod B
"ModA" with more boost!
Turbo A
For highly modified Turbo Cars, especially with the GT28 turbo.
Turbo B
For highly modified Turbo Cars, especially with Hybrid Turbos.
Mod B+
Tried and tested "ModB", but with a few new tweaks.
Mod X
The ultimate map developed by the team at Dreamscience, a characteristic evolution from the mighty Mod C and ModB+ maps.

Re: Can you run "Race" with mods?
Only maps I have loaded are Perf+, DSCI and TR. Both DSCI and TR only boost 0.8bar, but perf+ boosts fine.
I probably isn't software related, but after logging and posting in antoher section car looks 100% healthy. I logged boost, fuel trim, afr, fuel pressure as well as waste gate duty cycle. All of them were fine on perf+ but the waste gate was on 99% constantly when running TR.

Speak to the guys at DS, if you have track racer then you should have street racer as well. The same applies to race etc. They need to give you all of the standard maps DS + C21 maps

I have all those maps, but most of them are for stock cars. I sent C21 an email with my logs, no feedback yet.

Re: Can you run "Race" with mods?
hey bloubul
You obviously have a good amount of experience with the DS maps and have used them before. For someone new to the mod scene (like myself) the "package" DS delivers from the ultra unit is nice. Although I keep sensing something underlying that is just not making sense to me. If the maps are so great why are there not more people using them? Is it car specific. I am currently using ModX and my am quite happy now that my car is healthy again.
What made you decide to leave the DS stables? Was ModX (or other maps) not delivering what you "felt" you needed, were they not good enough? PM me if you feel the need to answer privately. Please guys, I'm not trying to start something here so leave the handbags and tampons at bay. I think the reply could benefit a lot of noobs (such as myself).
I feel DWJ might be going through the same process I went through (and perhaps still am going through). What makes REVO so much more plush now? I cannot seam to spot the gorilla's in the mist...

What map would you use with CAI, Intercooler, Downpipe and Decat on a ST225

its fine but it is a stage 1 map which will run less timing but more boost than the stock map. Stage 2 maps generally run more timing

TrackRacer and ModX are your best bet, but as I Robot said race will work fine too.
And I'm running Revo 2 now... best move I made.
