However if you are going to modify there is a compromise u will have to make sometimes. I.e. drop kit will affect ride quality, adding intake will void warranty. And in this case, it may not be ideal, but maybe software at coast with OB is the compromise to get great gains ? Just a thought. But for now I would prefer a safer map and get some gains without having to add OB all the time. Or maybe switch to an OB map when you do add OB for proper gains lol

Yeah adding ob every fill up is a bit much. I dont see the finsport map making 190kw here like it did in the uk. Octane is a huge factor. They ran their test on 97 oct

Ye octane /quality fuel has always been an issue since back in the day. But has improved somewhat. That is why the toyota 20v silvertop motors were not released here originally. Read an interesting article a while back. Only 3 to 4 years later blacktop 20v could be released here as fuels were up to scratch, yet still not optimal.

Also if I'm not mistaken, the Finsport 190kw was with a stage 2 map

So the common thread here is if selecting a map (tuner) make sure the map is correctly programmed for our local conditions (altitude, fuel and ambient temperatures).

I am going with HW mods first (DP, IC).

Finsport will adapt the maps to match our fuel/altitude. That was my first question to Jay.

I was asking about the exhaust. You said you want to do that first.
