Huge A$$ THANK YOU to the C21 TEAM (TeamST - KING OF ODI)

Postby Prash - C21 » Mon Jul 07, 2014 11:39 am

DUBS - Bru, you are one crazy farker. To build and drive an insane car like this requires balls of STEEL bru. I sincerely take back all the “SISSY” comments. I tried testing 5th gear on the streets and tapped off too many times to really get any useful logs, only Zain and you will understand this.
Not many people (incl myself) will not leave a car like RB with someone else, let alone give them to race it. This car is something else bru, nothing like any of us imagined it to be and the best part is we didn't get to the cars full potential yet (Will try next time to keep my eyes open after 400m  ). Well done on an exceptional build bru, No short cuts and the best of the best in this mental beast, which is clearly evident from the age of the engine and punishment this car has been through already.

SHAUN - All I can say is GENIUS bru, I can safely say there is nobody even remotely close to what you can do on the ST ECU. Launch control is a dream with the boost build up, we just need the grip to make the most of it. SH3 unbelievable bru, just fill any E octane and plant it, SH3+ME9 does the rest for you. Huge thank you for the support Shaun, the customisation in mapping to our individual driving styles is something special bru, we ask and you deliver through the ECU right on the mark every single time. This makes a scary car like RB all the more easier to drive and leaving the concentration to keeping the car going straight 

ZAIN - What an engine!!!, trust me if it was gonna break, it was this weekend. I hammered it stupidly throughout testing and at the track (missing gears and over revving etc) but she never budged bru. I was really sceptical to be honest, after the 1km run and feeling the lack in power on 5th and 6th, I was convinced this motor let go. Got back to the pits, Water level on Max, Oil Clean (no fuel or water mix), oil breather spotless, not a trace of breathing. TOP STUFF BRU!!!

AVISH - Driving the 1.6 Fiesta with all RB's stuff and following RB couldn't have been easy LOL. Shot for the support yesterday which led to you missing the F1 :)

STEFAAN - Big thanks bru with the assistance with the wheels, appreciate it.

OK just to clear the stories going around. After studying the logs from last week and this week, we have found that there is no limiter restricting the car (as we suspected). We have a mechanical problem with the damn air filter collapsing and almost sucking itself into the turbo. This is clearly evident on the logs as we can see air flow halved in 5th and 6th gear on the 279kph run and Dubs runs from the last event. I got lucky as we had a new filter on the car which took longer to collapse i.e. 4 gears. On Dubs runs the airflow was already down from 3rd. From my second 1/4 mile run the filter had enough and kept restricting the car. We suspected a limitation/oversight in software but after testing last night without a filter (as a test run only lol) we find everything now 100%.

well done! 12's are insane quick!! supercar territory.

Thanks to Team ST! epic event once again. just wish ODI speakers/intercom system could be fixed, was extremely hard to hear times, and would have been nice to see times/speed after each run, perhaps something to look at in future.
