Filters will collapse when either

They have been damaged from being man handled, or
they are just too small and dont have an open top system on them.

Guys run 30+ psi on GT42 setups with AFE/K&N/Apexi with no hassle.

robotST wrote:Epic epic result! congrats! Get the issue sorted and better that trap speed :D What size turbo is on that car ?? Sounds like it has some slight lag between gear changes

if I am not mistaken, the torque limits / boost levels within the map set by Shaun does this to eliminate wheelspin. if the power comes straight back in the car would go into wheelspin losing traction and time also making the car a handful to drive. I am not sure if the turbo on this car would lag as its not something extreme in terms of Sizing

Hahahaha Prash. Well done "bru" :) There is no one else I will allow to race this car other than you and Zain. You guys are just as crazy as me

Guys, I don't care who is the faster driver but what I care about is the capability of this car. Yes Prash is lighter than me so in theory he should be faster, deal with it and FFS move on. I don't think this is the end result but I don't like speculation, rather try and do it where it matters. It all depends on conditions on the day as well so you can never say for sure.

Ash, yip, we control torque and boost in the lower gears for traction but there is lag if you shift too early. Prash changed too soon to 3rd gear and that's why a bit of lag. He will get it right but it's very difficult still to drive this car at it's fastest. As soon as the car is back in Cape Town we are upgrading SH3 for phase 2 for even better control. That should make it a lot easier to drive as well :)

From my side, thanks to all involved in this project. You know who you are. This is an awesome achievement.

Thanks to the supporters too As well as the healthy competition (sias and Louw) for keep pushing one another to always try to stretch the limits.

Food for thought. MC had issues with collapsing filters, Switched to GENUINE Simota. Problem gone.

We did change to BMC for today and already 50g/s down in the lower gears... Need to make another plan. Simota not gonna work unless we can get one to test. Spoken some of the top dogs from route 59. Getting some info and pics on Monday to try their ideas.

Not sure which one Prash got but same one that nassen got apparently.

We struggling at tarlton today. Gearbox mounting broke during practice causing the engine flexing too much, resulting in popping boost pipes. We learned a lot today for the QM. Will be better prepared for next outing. Thanks Prash and Avish for all your efforts.

Tarlton, the killer of sideshafts, mountings, diffs, and boxes.
Don't feel bad bud, happened to like 90% of tarltons regular racers.
