Software query

Postby ShavST » Mon Dec 15, 2014 12:34 pm

hi guys,

when driving down to Durbs from Jozi, how long will it take for the SW to adapt to the change in climate or will I have any issues with it?

will it adjust automatically to the altitude?

will appreciate the feedback guys.

I think it will adjust automatically. When i drove my car down to dbn a few years ago with only dp,intercooler and sw. And it pulled like you could'nt believe. Way better than up here.

Car should be almost fully adapted by the time you get to the Marianhill toll.

thanks for the responses guys, what would you suggest though?

I was thinking of hitting the economy map the whole way through and then changing it to Track Racer when I get to the last garage before Marianhill.

dont, stick to track racer...its a more efficient map on the long road... the economy map is heavier on fuel on the long road..as it meant more for the stop go traffic of the city...

i drove once to CT from PE...with economy map...i used almost 2 and a half tanks to CT...switched to track racer going back...used 1 and half tanks...

You may have issues. Car may feel dead depending on the tune. When I took my OPC to dbn it was dead. Needed OB to get it going again. It was dead by Marianhill already as Imi mentioned.

you must speak to prash about getting TR high alt for when you are back home...that is the map you should use day in day out in jhb...

it will feel like how TR will feel at the coast... TR high alt..has a little more boost and timing..to make up for the lack of air at the reef...

thats why a lot of guys with TR at the reef think their cars are slow..but thats because they using a map meant for the coast...
