Open it and see if there are any loose connections from the cable to the pc board or whatever. Could be something silly

Dreamscience DSCI obd2 cable or app problem

Post by Jacques2013 » Sun Apr 19, 2015 10:24 pm

Sorry pdubs. You locked the previous subject but there is something new to this. So you plug everything the way the instructions tells you to. The app asks you for the obd2 cable. As soon as you plug the cable the light goes from flashing red to flashing green.I select next on the app and the light goes from green to flashing red and green together. At this point the app stops responding and it does not matter in what position the ignition is the app does the same thing.... This is whats been happening over and over.

Tonight I decided to try connecting a battery charger as I read this on the forum. Did not change anything but.... As I decided to unplug the charger the app automaticly went to the screen where it informs you it cant detect battery voltage... I did it three times and it does the same thing.. Can a faulty or poor battery be the reason for my problems?

dude my 2cents at the moment. probably would be kicked in the nuts but here goes.

Dont take a risk buying something electric second hand.its a 50/50 that its going to work. do it if you have some money to burn ( so you would not feel muf if something happend)

Second i was speaking to Ash and he and a few other fellows has been assisting me in my car problems and there advice is spot on . go to ash and let him sort you out with his software or at least give you a trial.

Well it works like this, boss. You pay for the software and after a few days if you don't like it you flash back to stock and get your money back.

Quite simple

Dont know much about this, however I used the DS platform on my laptop, when i was hijacked I managed to get the UK to reset the unit for me at no cost with the assistance of the Duigan borthers when they were still involved in DS.

BTW_Motronix is definitely a wizz on different brands when it comes to tuning

Wait wait... are you saying that software these days can be done Remotely. or did you have to reset the unit yourself ( meaning you got the car back)
