RS computer box

Postby zydo6 » Wed Nov 29, 2017 3:56 pm

Hi Guys

Got a 2005 Focus RS and recently its been giving trouble as in:

Starts-idles for few seconds then switches off :(

if you manage to get it to stay on car loses power steering then switches off :?

Error code on screen says engine malfunction

Iv since taken the car to Ford and they say the Computer box's components tend to get dry causing it to cut out power
Ford mech says hes sprayed something on it but doesnt know how long itl last

also says cost will be around 25k to fix...thing is now if that is the case can a Software dealer not be able to help?? that way i can atleast get some power added

Any help will be appreciated :D
