I'm sitting on 59,300km and trying to decide where to get my 60K service done..

What were your quotes?

What were ou actually invoiced?

Where did you have your service done?

What does the 60K service entail?

Brake Pads I don't need..

I had the Bedix Ultimate Performance pads fitted about 2 months ago from Duigans (which are insanely good by the way, feels like a whole new brakke system)

The only thing I'm going to ask them to check is the front left suspension/wheel assembly.. I have a weird clunk that I get when going over speed bumps or around a corner, but ODDLY and I mean very ODDLY, only when the car is cold.. like the first 10 mins of driving.. like the suspension needs warming up or something..

Other than that, no other work that I will ask them.

according to the service schedule attached to your invoice, the following items are (should, but probably wont be) replaced.

Air filter (if one they were kind enough to put it back last time ... long story :) )
Spark Plugs
Engine Oil
Oil Filter
Pollen and odour filters are cleaned.
Labour is quoted at 1.6 hours

Seems Porters Germiston and Porters Alberton are the recommended dealers these days. My 60k service is coming up too. Lets see what Ford can mess up on my car this time.

I had a similar knocking noise on my car, it only happened when turning right, at full lock, i'd get a knocking sound and could feel it under my feet. Turns out a bolt was loose on one of the steering arms or something, they tightened it, and its never returned.

I just had mine - it was R2 500 but I supplied my own spark plugs and recently had
my front brakes replaced.

They fitted new back brakes and apparently did all the stuff Kindred mentioned.

I went to Rand Ford.

Anyone had their car serviced at Midrand lately?

It will be the most convinient for me to have it serviced there for getting to my work and getting back to fetch my car..

Service is done.. not unhappy with the customer service..

R2011.96 is what I was set back..

The whole thing was just the normal general service.. oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, oil, drain lid etc.. (weirdly no fuel filter)

Only thing extra was a rear brake light bulb
