Post by evolution » Wed Mar 11, 2015 4:43 pm

Guys

In a case of mapping, i have confirmed that the STO mapping engineer will come to SA to map this specific car to suit various variables.....

Would people consider this bolt on option?

I think there would be many people who would consider it.

It would heavily depend on price though.
Would it be significantly cheaper than importing a turbo privately from the suppliers Chou mentioned?

You do know Revo has a Stage 3 map setup for a Perrin Hybrid turbo? Ask your Revo dealer about it.

Guys this is going to be an import option
i am in talks with a German Based company as well as a UK based company
The turbo is full bolt-on and needs no modifications to make it fit.

German tuners have seen in the excess of 300 bhp on 102 oct in Germany, they get 102 at the tanks :D
We are aiming for around 270 BHP on Pump fuel as i feel this is a realistic power output on 95 ULP
If it makes more , well and good...

I will confirm pricing once i have it

Interesting. How did he pop the motor? In UK they ran a 1.6T at 6K RPM for 100 000 Miles, just doing normal services. Showed no wear on pistons rings or turbo.

I think with the price as it no one is SA will run Revo 3. Turbo alone is around 1600 pounds.

I was looking at the GTX2860R bolt on. I think price wise it will be cheaper than most hybrids and it has already been used on FiST in the states along with COBB software. There are videos on Youtube of a FiST with, I am assuming with similar turbo running 12.4 QM (he has racing slicks though).

The graphs from ATP also show around 300hp, not sure if this is on the wheels or flywheel, but I think this will also be a good option to consider.

I have personally fitted an ATP kit before NOT to A Fiesta but to a VAG 1.8T.... from my experience i rather look for a bolt on solution to offer 100% trouble free motoring! Hence the decision to look into a Hybrid
