FIESTA ST150 PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE

Postby Ben » Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:37 pm

I have looked at a couple of guys for software in Gauteng. Please give me some opinions around these guys.

RGM Motorsport
ATM Chiptunning
Steves auto clinic
Evolution Performance
CPI Tunning
Stealth Tunning

Whom would you recommend for the Fiesta ST150 With a Cosworth cam, 60mm Throttle Body, Full miltech EXHAUST, and Induction. Please feel free to recommend anyone not on my list in Gauteng.

Looking for someone in Gauteng that knows their [email protected] and that wont cause burnt valves and cause engine failures without warning lights staying on.

What is the lambda supposed to be on the 2L Duratech motor to avoid damadge to the motor?

A Unichip tuned by a good tuner who knows what they're doing has still proven to be the best. Tuners aren't interested in developing maps for the ST150.

As much as I don't like RGM, they have a lot of experience with Unichip, I would recommend them if you go that route, there aren't many trustworthy unichip tuners these days.

Pumaspeed maps are great but you will need a DS handheld.

Either way, your car needs tuning, you will cause more damage driving it this way, without a proper tune.

Okay, so the booking is made at RGM for the UNICHIP.

Lets hope this goes well... But they do know what to expect and have options as to how the throttle body needs to be interfaced.

STU, Tomas from Coachmans auto sends his regards, He just serviced my car.

I Realy do hope RGM can get the car running with the 60mm Throttle Body.

Thanks for the help...

Hi Everyone...

Okay so more questions/problems...

My fiesta is at RGM now for the Unichip and mapping for the 60mm Throttle Body.

I received a call from them saying that the throttle body standard as well as the 60mm only opens to 76% is this normal or due to the torque limiter in 1st and 2nd?

I would appreciate if someone has some info on this one for me.

Hi guys,

Okay, so i must go fetch my fezzy at RGM soon...

What wkw and torque should i get up in JHB with cosworh cams, miltech exhaust, and induction (Duigan Brother ST180 kit) with unichip.

Also what should the Rev limiter be set at for best performance?

Hi Ben

I think you should expect anything from 100-105wkw and 165-175nm...these are the figures I got at KAR which isnt a generous dyno...you shouldve done a before dyno tho

With your mods I think 7200rpm should be right
Current : 05 FIESTA ST 210+

FR&R Dyno 21/03/14 : 145whp 171nm
K.A.R Dyno 07/06/14 : 107.4wkw 175 nm
FR&R Dyno 18/06/15 : 160whp 161nm

Okay so the car now makes 100 wkw up in JHB with the standard throttle body. not going to battle with the 60mm any more. rather going to do the UDP kit...

Now my question is who will be able to up my rev limiter for me? just need to be able to reach power peak before the limiter comes in. at 6500rpm the power is still klimbing dont think i will need more than 7200 as the power wil be coming down.
