Postby Johno_ST » Thu Feb 02, 2017 2:28 pm

Hi guys,

Has anyone fitted any of the mountune stuff from Laz Performance to their ST?

If so, what have you fitted and what is your experience with it?

Im wanting to get more exhuast noise as well as more turbo swishing sounds.

Checked with my dealer today and they said it's only ford laz that will honor the warranty

Not to my knowledge. The warranty is carried by Laz Performance but that warranty can be honoured at any ford dealership.
I may be wrong but that's what i remember.

If you want your warranty to stay in tact, guaranteed, go for it!
Mountune is a very well known company in the Ford industry

Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated.

I know the price is slightly higher, but im going to take a maintenance plan on the car so i would need to keep that in tact.

Now i just need to decide which mods to take.

Ive driven the car and would like a bit more exhaust noise as well as turbo sounds.

Would a performance exhuast and the induction kit give me the above?

This is the official T&C on warrantee

Notes to Warranty Pack: Lazarus Performance Parts (Pty) Ltd
1. LP is a distributor of the above and does not offer any additional warranty(ies) other than the manufacturer’s
limited warranties.
2. The separate and limited warranties offered by Ford Motor Company US, Ford Performance USA and ROUSH
Performance US are the only warranties applicable to crate engines, select Ford Performance Racing Parts,
Mountune Performance Parts, TracKey/Track Cal Engine Calibrations and Superchargers.
3. The details of the warranties are contained in the pages following these Notes to Warranty Pack.
4. FMCSA will honour the original vehicle warranty insofar as any installation/fitment of any performance
part/component complies with the manufacturer’s instructions. Concerns not caused by the use of Ford
Performance or MOUNTUNE parts remain eligible for warranty coverage according to the terms of the New
Vehicle Limited Warranty.
5. It is a requirement for all installations/fitments to be performed by a Certified Level 3 Master Technician. LP
regulates the training and certifications of authorised technicians.
6. Selected independent customers are not subject to FMCSA’s vehicle warranty and they may
accommodate/require alternative technician qualifications in relation to vehicle fitments. These
installations/fitments are divorced from LP and FMCSA.
7. Selected independent customers who do not require Ford Motor Vehicle Warranties are exempt from
registration on the warranty system. These customers are typically builders of new vehicles and kit cars, and
perform modifications on “out of warranty” vehicles.
8. All parts/components and engines installed/fitted in vehicles carrying a Ford Motor Vehicle Warranty must be
registered on the warranty system.
9. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all parts installed/fitted are original and registered as instructed
in the detailed warranty.
10. Neither LP nor any of its authorised fitment centres will install or fit any grey imports or components. Should it
be found that a combination of original Ford Performance Parts and grey imports were used/fitted, all warranties
will immediately become null and void.
11. All warranty repairs will be dealt with in accordance with LP’s RMA policy, which is enclosed as Annexure C of
the Trade Agreement.
