Underseat Sub

Postby DW_17 » Mon Sep 11, 2017 11:33 am

Hi guys,

Has anyone installed an under-seat sub in their ST180? Curious about the bass level and quality when combined with the stock speakers.

I've heard good things about them in bakkies. I've also heard good things when the driver plays mainly rock/jazz etc., but I want to know how it handles more bass heavy music like house, dubstep etc.

So I have installed a Rockford PS-8 underseat sub in my car and am very happy with the results. It provides the perfect amount of quality bass to compliment the car's stock sound system, even at high volume.

Nice, any pics of install? Did you install it under the driver seat? rear passenger legroom gone?

Will post some pics asap. Installed it under the passenger seat and it hardly affects rear leg room at all.

I paid R4000 with installation.

Keen for pics, been toying with the idea of an under-seat as my kids pram fills the ENTIRE boot.

Sound quality is very good, but very volume dependent - if you want to really blast music and rattle your rear view mirror it's not the thing for you. I listen to EDM at medium sound levels and am very satisfied with the bass level and quality.
