Car is still running brilliantly, no coolant level drop, oil is now turning the color of honey. Only outstanding issue is the updated map required from Shaun. He is trying, but is out of the country at the moment and has a hectic travel schedule, so I am still keeping it out of boost and under 4000 rpm :)
ETA, this is after around 1600 kms. Which is almost more than the car did for the entire 2013

Fantastic news Frans, I'm very happy to hear that!

Wishing you all the best this year, hope you are enjoying driving the lil beasty again and it's slowly putting faith in the car back in you.

A big big thank you for Shaun helping me out during this hectic time and sorting out the new map. In conclusion the heart transplant is a success and the RS motor is almost completely run in. Not a drop of coolant loss and the running in oil is doing its job.
Thanks to everyone for the support, help, advise and sometimes just being a shoulder to cry on. Hindsight is 20/20 but I do hope this thread was helpful to anyone wanting to go the route I did.
