Postby Skolly » Mon Jul 12, 2010 7:02 pm

Sup guys, i just bought a 110% dead standard 2003 Ford Focus ST170 from my cuzin 8) . The cars in excellent condition with FSH and only 140000km on the clock. He fitted a new clutch aswell just before i bought it. My feuture plans are the following

Engine:
K&N pan filter
Bluefin or Dreamscience software (dono which is better???)
Freeflow with a minicat (dono what size to use)
Vernier exhaust pully

Exterior:
Spray inside of headlights black (as they look gery now)
H.I.D kit
Respray wheels (black or metallic gery)
Eibach lowering springs
Darken taillights
Paint calipers (blue/purple custom mix)

Will post pics as soon as i get time, and of the whole process. If you guys got anymore ideas, please feel free to post them up :)

howzit skolly, i recently had a stainless steel decat and free flow exhaust done my 'ST' 170, my decat pipe is 63mm with a 63mm pipe until the silencers (2 sliencers) where the pipe size is reduced to 57mm...i may stand to be corrected but a 76mm decat pipe with a 63mm exhaust is quite large, the diameter after the branch is 63mm, naturally aspirated motors require a little back-pressure to function optimally, speak to a few tuners or exhaust guys who are firmilar with the motor, and then come to a decision... never the less, all the best with your build...

Congrats and enjoy. In my experience a flat pan filter is a waste of money on the ST170.
I've used Bluefin and Dreamscience - not much between them in terms of power but Dreamscience coudl program the traction control switch so whenit's off it's OFF.
