Project Volvo C70 - as stock as possible with 360 WHP

Postby Kova » Sun Jan 27, 2013 8:53 pm

Hi,

it is my pleasure to introduce my project to you guys! :)

I'm a proud owner of Volvo C70 T5 (production year 2008). Target of my project is to reach 360 WHP (400 HP at the crank) with as much stock components as possible.

Here are few pics of my car:

Here is my current list of engine mods:

Autotech custom tune
K16 turbo
550cc Bosch injectors
NGK ILFR7H plugs
Heico IC
Ferrita DP with 100 CEL racecat and catback exhaust
BMC drop in filter
ECU spacer

Here is the dyno my car made few months ago (at 21C, 275 m altitude, uncorrected data):

As you can see I'm currently making 340 WHP (384 HP at the crank) with 505Nm of peak torque which allows me to still use stock clutch.

My friend I_C_Red recently send me a present, CAI made by local SA manufacturer Karter so I will be happy to install it in my car as soon as winter is over - many thanks for that generous and friendly gesture Nick! :)

With the help of ENEM cams, which I soon hope to buy and install, and with some additional help from tuning specialists from Autotech Motorsport (Sweden), I'm hoping to reach my goal proving that a Volvo C70 T5 can be turned into serious Gran Tourismo car keeping all internal components stock and with very reasonable investments considering the end results.

I'm looking for a stock plastic intake manifold from Focus ST225. I guess many of you guys have replaced the stock unit with Mountune, Sitech or Elevate unit so I'm hoping that some of you have kept the stock unit and are willing to sell it. If that is so please PM me your offer.

P.S. I apologize to admins if this post doesn't belong here - I was not able to find classifieds part of this forum.
