Ford Figo Central Locking

Post by RyanT » Mon Aug 19, 2019 2:39 am

Hi All.

I seem to be having a bit of a problem with my central locking.
Its is a aftermarket installed alarm, with central locking, Unlocked the car as normal, (one press and all 4 doors unlock) once driving off, the central locking locks the doors after about 1 minute.

5 minutes into driving, all 4 doors unlock, and the alarm goes off. with the "open door" icon illuminated on the dashboard(Including the pinging noise).

Got to work, switched the car off, got out and tried to lock the car, the doors locked and then immediately unlocked again. I drove to the guys that do car alarm installations and they checked the wires and all the doors etc, and found nothing, Said I must take the car to FORD.

Before I take the car to FORD, has anyone else experienced this, and are there any "DIY" solutions I can try?

PS: I'm not all the clued up about cars, but iv read a couple of sites that mention it could be the fuses?

You assistance and feedback will be greatly appreciated.
