Ford Bantam workshop manual

Postby sandman » Thu Mar 22, 2012 12:23 pm

Does anybody know where you can buy a workshop manual for the Ford Bantam (rocam 2006)?
It seems that Haynes do not write manuals for the Bantams.
Googled, but also came up with nothing.

Save the link. I wouldn't open in your browser, it's quite a large pdf file.

If you need the wiring diagrams I have those too.

Wow, thank you very much mr. STax.

I think maybe the wiring diagram would also help, since I'm struggling with a heater that is always on (NOT fun in the sun).

Haynes doesn't have manuals for them since they're SA designed & developed & AFAIK unique to SA. All 3 shapes were based on existing passenger car structures where the specific car's front half was welded onto a load bed. Bantam I = Escort based use the appropriate Escort manual, Bantam II (Mazda 323 based) the specific 323 manual & Bantam III the Fiesta manual.

Wiring harnesses etc were mostly the same as the cars bar for the piece that went to the rear lights & fuel tank (where applicable).

Brazil has a panel van based on the Fiesta (Bantam III).
Current: 2010 Mazda 6 Active, 2002 Bantam B3 1300, 2010 Sirion 1.3.
Ex:Mazda 323s X 5 1026 000km & 626s X 3 515 000km & B2200 D/c 4X4 345 000km & Meteor GLi 1.6i 120 000km, BMW 528i X2 44 000 km
Mazda 6 2006 Original 222 000km

The heater issue isnt a electronic fault. But rather the solinoid. Thet around R450 at ford. Or bypass it permanently.

I have also the icon, mk5, mk6 and facelift manual. Also the focus ST. All manuals from ford. They a bit big so cant mail.

How difficult is it to change the cam on the Rocam? Quick DIY job or must I rather to mechanic?

I can do it in 10minutes. Even.did it at the drag strip one sunday before the races.
So i cant see why you cant do it yourself.
Otherwise i can.do it for you. I drink castle light...
