Racechip on a figo 1.4 2011

Post by Thorin » Mon Aug 24, 2015 8:42 am

Hey guys, I'm new here. But I was doing some research and was wondering if it was worth it to install a racechip on my little car, just to see if I could get some more performance. I found this, http://stevewyndhamracing.com/product/f ... mance-kit/ can you guys please give me some honest opinions and or recommendations. Thank you.

10 extra kilowatts at the fly (claimed)...seems like a waste of money to me.
Rather get an exhaust for that money...you probably won't be any faster, but at least it will sound better.

My 2c... rather just save it and buy a faster car than a 1.4 Figo. Sure it might feel faster, but will it really be faster?

If it's a car you intend keeping for a long time, and ticks all the right boxes except in the power department - why not?
R5k for 10kw is half of the generally accepted R1k per 1kw for N/A cars. As long as you remember - 67kw still isn't much!

Trust me! This ^^

Been down this route with my 1.6 Fiesta. The ST Fiesta (modified) is WAY WAY faster than my modded 1.6 was.!

Dude you already have 5K rather save it for yourself or put a nice drop kit there. If you must install anything you can opt for a branch but R1850 for a 1.4 branch is overpriced. Shop around buddy
