1.3 Rocam exhaust question
Hi Guys,
New to the forum, I have a 2005 Ford Ka 1.3i bone stock with just under 107k on the clock. Been thinking about doing some performance mods (yes I know its only a 1.3 and a waste of time and money but its what I have to work with)
I have read about some nice torque gains from using an SWR branch manifold but I was thinking of putting a free flow on first, is this wise or should I rather save and first get an SWR branch? Would a free flow on its own make any kind of difference even?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

Re: 1.3 Rocam exhaust question
The freeflow will just sound better but wont give any real gains. The branch might give slight gains but again not much. Remove the catylitic converter may help especially if its old and blocked. Note you will need a fooler to switch off the engine light if you do a de cat. Do not go bigger on the exhaust pipe diameters as its been proven that you loose tourque. Hope this helps

Awesome thanks bud, im not expecting miracles LOL and ive heard that just doing a free flow back box on these is more beneficial for a 'better sound' than a full free flow.

Re: 1.3 Rocam exhaust question
My brother did full system and cams plus unichip on hes 1.3 rocam fiesta and got just over 60kw. We then bought 1 of Novel Fords Ford KA GTs which they did an engine swop with the 1.6 motor. That was also modified with cams , Full exhaust and software eventually making over 100kw. That was a little monster and was great fun. I enjoyed that more than the Focus ST 170 I had at the time.

100kw in a car that handles like a gokart would definitely be fun LOL
