Cams on a 1.4 Figo

Postby Ryan Snyman » Mon Nov 17, 2014 11:46 am

Hey peeps!

I recently did a stage 1 kit on my car and am happy I've gone from 58kw to 73kw and 112nm to 135nm, Ive now decided to possibly go the cam route and induction..

I wanted to find out what you guys thought about this, I've been looking and I reckon a cam and induction should get me onto 80kw at least?

opinions please?

Thanks peeps :D

yeah I geuss its a lil rocket now, caught a stock st150 had a roll on from 40-110 we head on head then 110-140 he pulls 3 car lengths n I can almost hang on..

Quiet good I rate as that's a 2.0 motor :)

Nice power from the 1.4. :) Is this at highveld? If so, then its pretty close to stock ST150 power. I get around 87wkw here with a cone filter only.

What's included in stage 1?As mentioned cams will be expensive and not worth it on a 1.4i.

There's no replacement for displacement :)

@ Diidy it's in Cape Town buddy..

A stage 1 kit is a full exhaust and a uniq chip +remapped ECU they say. Im super happy its got the biggest gain in the middle range so roll on between 120 and 150 is so strong and nice.

If I have 3 people in the car I can flat box from 150 and pull upto 180 on a flat at a push.

maybe if I can geta came I will get one because it will make a nice top end diffs..

15kw and 22nm is a massive gain on a 1400 NA motor.

Actually... I will be that guy and call BS.

Are you a troll?

With those mods sounds like you would have killed my old 1.6 Fiesta that had cams, CAI, branch, exhaust, Unichip etc..... and I couldn't even keep up with a stock ST150.....

Where was it dynoed and what power was it?
I caught this on the weekend running around my area, was a blue one.. I was chuffed! but yours should have drilled a stock st150.... Cause a 1.6 fiesta is already like 70odd kw.. I've seen them upto 90kw with that kind of work online!
