Cold air intake Q's
So I'm toying with the idea to get a CAI. But I have some questions. Anyone care to shed some light?
Yes, the cabbie is still under warranty, and I intend to keep it that way. Does a CAI leave any physical trace once removed? Read do I have to modify anything during installation?
Has a CAI ever caused reason for concern or issues with your car?
Is water going to be my enemy since the filter is open? Fine to drive in heavy rain? Pressure hose?
How often does the filter get oiled/cleaned? I have an off-road background (so used to cleaning after each trip but thats due to all the dust).
Will I ALWAYS hear it (even when granny driving)?
Some CAI's better than others? Why?
I'm eyeballing the Karter set, not the full system just yet, just the end piece.
Dankie gents

If you put everything back to stock the way it was, no.

No issues.

Unless the filter is sitting below the foglight (which on the ST250 it doesn't), then no.

Depends what kind of air filter comes with the kit/you buy

A little bit, yes.

R&D.

Daar is geen negatiewe enige iets om CAI te doen nie. Klink beter run cooler en maklik om te fit en weer af te haal. Veral as jy net die voorste stuk gaan doen
